The Korg handytraxx play is a portable record player and DJ turntable designed for vinyl lovers, DJs, scratch performers and portablists who want to take their records and creativity anywhere. Building on the legacy of the original Handy Trax developed by Vestax, the handytraxx play combines a compact, battery-powered turntable with a high-quality scratch fader, built-in effects, live looping and flexible playback controls.
Designed in collaboration with Toshihide Nakama, former President of Vestax and co-creator of the original Handy Trax, the handytraxx play brings modern digital audio technology to a classic portable DJ concept.
Built for Scratching and Portablism
The handytraxx play has been specifically engineered for scratch performance. Its high-quality crossfader provides smooth, precise movement with a reduced silent zone, making it responsive for cuts, transitions and creative scratching.
The control layout can also be configured for right- or left-handed operation, while the crossfader can be replaced to suit your preferred performance setup.
Built-In DJ Effects
Take your vinyl performances further with integrated digital effects. The handytraxx play includes three filter types for shaping your sound, including a DJ filter, EQ filter and peaking wah filter.
A dedicated delay effect adds everything from subtle ambience to pronounced echoes, giving DJs and vinyl performers additional creative control without needing external effects hardware.
Live Looper for Creative DJ Performance
The built-in audio looper lets you capture and replay sections of your vinyl playback. Create a loop, scratch over it, layer sounds and continue performing while the loop plays.
With approximately 20 seconds of maximum recording time, the looper can also be used to capture sounds and beats for creative sampling-style performances.
33, 45 and 78 RPM Playback
The belt-driven turntable supports 33-1/3, 45 and 78 RPM, allowing you to play a wide range of vinyl records. Digital rotation correction helps maintain stable platter speed, while the custom-designed tonearm is engineered for reliable tracking during both normal playback and scratching.
Portable Vinyl Player with Built-In Speaker
Take your records wherever you go. The handytraxx play can run from the included AC adapter or six AA batteries, making it ideal for portable DJ sessions, outdoor listening, practice, parties and vinyl playback away from the home setup.
The built-in 2.5W speaker lets you play records without connecting an external sound system, while line and headphone connections provide options for more conventional listening and DJ setups.
Flexible Cartridge Compatibility
The redesigned headshell supports the included stereo ceramic cartridge and is also compatible with MM cartridges, giving experienced users greater flexibility when choosing their preferred cartridge setup.
The handytraxx play also features customisation options including a replaceable scratch fader and reversible control-panel orientation. Cartridge replacement requires basic soldering skills.
